FRAMING

Cost: $25

​This is a hands on class. Come in at least 2 weeks before class to select your frame. (Purchase an in-stock frame or order a custom made frame). Bring your completed stitched piece & frame to class. You’ll learn how to professionally stretch -mount your piece. It will be ready to hang on your wall when you get home!

Supplies needed: Silk pins (pkg of 200 pins $4), a vanishing fabric marker ($5.50) Foam core to fit your frame. All are available for purchase at Stitchville.

Minimum: 3 students
Maximum: 6 students


TWISTED CORD

Have you ever noticed how the cording on ornaments really gives them a finished look?
Come to this class and learn how to make 1 color, 2 color & 3 color twisted cord.
We will have "practice" thread available but if you want a specific twisted cord then bring
the thread needed to make it.
This class will take the mystery out of that finished edge we all want on our stitched pieces!
Bring a twisted cord maker if you have one.

Minimum: 3 students. Maximum: 6 students

PUNCH NEEDLE

Cost: $25

Learn the art of punch needle, a very old but new way to stitch. You’ll punch a cute ornament/pin while learning this technique. 4 Kits to choose from: snowman, heart, butterfly or pumpkin.
Supplies provided in the kit: pattern, fabric & fibers.
Supplies needed: a 3 strand punch needle includes 1 threader, a 5” locking hoop & scissors.

Also recommended but not required: Extra Threaders (5 for $8.50)
The Haystack Carry Case - will hold your punch needle & has a magnet on the inside to hold your threaders. ($20.50)

Minimum: 3 students
Maximum: 6 students



​Intro to Silk Gauze

Don't let the tiny spaces on silk gauze scare you!
Mary will show you how easy it is to stitch one of Erica Michaels' silk gauze designs.
Supplies needed: Prior to class come in the shop & choose one of Erica Michaels' designs and
he threads needed for that design.

You'll learn the tips and tricks to make stitching on silk gauze fun and a lot less intimidating.

Minimum: 3 students

Maximum: 8 students


Padded Board

Cost: $30

Learn this finishing technique for both fabric & canvas projects
including a few tricks just for canvas.
Please allow at least 1-1/2" to 2" on all sides of your stitched piece.
Supplies provided: mounting board, batting, sharp scissors, fabric glue
and the use of a cord twister.
Supplies required: your stitched piece not larger than 4" x 4", coordinating backing fabric,
thread to make the twisted cord & scissors.

Minimum: 3 students
Maximum: 6 students

$60 for all 3 sessions

While making a 7" doily you will learn to stitch:
Kloster blocks, satin stitch, buttonhole stitch, cable stitch,
eyelets, cutwork & weaving.
Doily is stitched on 20 count cork linen.
There will be homework each week.

Supplies needed: 5” hoop & sharp scissors for cutting

Saturday Open Stitch
Every other Saturday
11:00am to 2:00pm
No cost but you must reserve your spot. We only have room for 10 stitchers. Bring your own beverage & snacks.
